Backing Up Your Photos

Photos capture our most precious memories. Here's how to make sure they're safely backed up:

Using Cloud Services

Google Photos

1. Download the Google Photos app
2. Sign in with your Google account
3. Tap on your profile picture > Photos settings
4. Tap "Back up & sync"
5. Toggle "Back up & sync" to ON

iCloud (for iPhone)

1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud
2. Tap "Photos"
3. Turn on "iCloud Photos"

Using External Storage

1. Connect your external hard drive to your computer
2. Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable
3. On your computer, open the folder containing your phone's photos
4. Select all photos you want to back up
5. Copy and paste them to a folder on your external drive

Best Practices

• Use at least two different backup methods
• Check your backups regularly to ensure they're working
• Consider organizing photos by year and month
• Remember that free cloud storage is often limited - consider paid options for large collections
